TV & radio: more than 1001 digitelevision channels
- Digital television is much more than traditional tv broadcasting. Already now many DVB-services deliver text based information, ring tones, games and interactive content. For example Bloomberg, VIC-TV, ChatBoxTV and GetLucky TV
- MPEG4 and WM9 carried by MPEG-2 transports (DVB-stream). Eutelsat has launched OpenSky-service which uses MPEG4 to deliver both free and paytv content. More similar services will follow from other satellite operators soon (tests on Astra, 4/2004)
- MPEG4 capable set top boxes? It's expected that first models will appear to markets during year 2004.
